Our Voices, Our Journeys: Black Communities in Peel
Virtual Exhibition opening February 2021
Our Voices, Our Journeys
is a celebration of one of many Black communities in Peel Region. It
highlights the personal journeys of leaders and mentors from the North
Peel Community Church congregation. Their photos and objects illustrate
stories of immigration, resilience, and family life, and how they
established a community of faith in Caledon.

A unique opportunity to see the transformation of the Jim Tovey Lakeview Conservation Area through the eyes of local photographers. This project along Mississauga's waterfront will provide a green oasis in the heart of the city with beaches, meadows, forests, wetlands, and rocky islands.
The late Jim Tovey, Peel Regional Councillor for Mississauga Ward I, was a strong supporter of the project and saw artistic expression as a way for residents to form an emotional connection with the environment.
