Our Archives house about 3500 glass plate negatives from the 1880s - 1910 depicting daily life in Peel, stories known mainly through family history.These rare images depicting Peel at work, rest and play remain unseen because of their frailty. . |

MODELS OF A CULTURE - CUSTOM STORAGE FOR INUIT DOLLS, ART GALLERYThe Inuit have practiced the art of making dolls for centuries. These beloved childhood treasures are reflections of Inuit life, charms, tools of domestic training and tourist souvenirs. PAMA's collection recently expanded with the addition of 27 Inuit dolls. Like all artwork, these dolls require specific storage and preservation protocols in order to maintain their integrity. |

DRESSING UP IN STYLE - TEXTILE CONSERVATION, MUSEUMThey can provide us with comfort, make us feel confident and tell family stories. The 2,500 textile pieces in the Museum collection are some of the most personal items we have, and among the most vulnerable to damage, requiring precise preservation. We are focusing on cleaning, repairing and stabilizing two 19th century cross-stitched samplers as well as a 1924 Brampton Excelsior Lacrosse team jersey worn by William Bovaird. |
