The church

The North Peel Community Church needed renovations, but they didn’t have the funds to cover the costs. To solve this problem, Dr. Ron Kelly decided to attend school and learn building trades himself, so that he could help with the renovation work.

"All the young people in the congregation got involved repairing the church. Neighbours helped with everything, and the Town of Caledon provided the necessary permits."

"You could walk inside and see the sky; there was no heat, no water."

The Sunday School Department of the church also created a community cookbook to help raise money for a new roof.
