Home is Where the HeART is: Through the Eyes of Youth
July 11, 2026 to November 1, 2026
What does home mean to you?
For some, it’s a place. For others, it’s a feeling, a memory, a culture, or a space where they feel safe, seen, and understood. In Home Is Where the HeART Is: Through the Eyes of Youth, young artists share deeply personal responses to this question through their art.
Organized by PAMA’s Youth Council, artists aged 14 to 21 who live or attend school in the Peel Region explore their own definitions of home. From physical spaces to emotional landscapes, from cultural roots to chosen communities, the works in this exhibition reflect the diverse experiences and voices of youth today.
Together, these artworks form a powerful collection of stories, told through creativity, honesty, and imagination, offering visitors a glimpse into what home looks and feels like through the eyes of young people.
