Culture Days Open Air Discovery

Join us on the lawn during the opening weekend of Culture Days and get hands-on with objects from our teaching collection. Weather dependent.

Culture Days: Explore Tamil Art

Saturday, September 19, 12:00 to 4:30 p.m.

Discover the art of Kolam with Tam Fam Lit Jam. Learn its cultural significance, create Designs together, and share stories in a welcoming, intergenerational, queer-positive space celebrating Tamil traditions and community connections.

Printmaking with PAMA

Thursday, September 24, 6 to 7:00 p.m.

Join PAMA for a guided printmaking workshop. Create one-of-a-kind artworks using simple printmaking techniques inspired by the exhibition Abstract Art in Canada, on display now.

BZS Zine Art at PAMA

Thursday, September 24, 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Thursday, October 1, 6 to 8:30 p.m.

Led by Malachi Watson-Narcisse, this zine-making workshop explores identity, belonging, and cultural pride. Create a ten-page zine reflecting on “What does this land mean to you?” through stories, memories, and creative expression.

Community Art Garden Workshop with Brampton Library

Thursday, September 24, 7 to 8:00 p.m.

Create a floral artwork inspired by Brampton’s heritage in this hands-on workshop. Contribute to a collaborative community mural celebrating Culture Days, with your sublimation-printed wooden plaque available for pickup afterward.

Bagosendan: A Circle of Hope and Reconciliation

Saturday, September 26, 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Learn the peyote stitch and create a beaded ring while reflecting on hope, relationships, and reconciliation. Guided by Anishinaabe facilitators, this hands-on workshop welcomes beginners aged 14+.

Doors Open Brampton at PAMA

Doors Open at PAMA is your invitation to explore the spaces and collections that bring our community’s history to life. We’re opening the doors for you to come in to explore, connect, and create with us.
