Storybook Studio Times 

Dec 20 – 23, 27 – 30, Jan 2 - 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.  PAMA’s art educators look forward to sharing their favourite childhood tales. Gather in the cozy story corner for a reading and then get creative with a craft inspired by each day’s story time fun. 

  • Saturday, Dec 20: Inspired by The Mitten by Jan Brett.  
  • Sunday, Dec 21: Inspired by The Wonderful Pigs of Jillian Jiggs by Phoebe Gilman. 
  • Monday, Dec 22: Inspired by That's Not My Name! by Anoosha Syed.  
  • Tuesday, Dec 23: Inspired by The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg.  
  • Saturday, Dec 27: Inspired by Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak.  
  • Sunday, Dec 28:  Inspired by The Gruffalo by Julia Donaldson.  
  • Monday, Dec 29: Inspired by When the Moon Comes by Paul Harbridge.  
  • Tuesday, Dec 30: Inspired by Oh, The Places You'll Go! by Dr. Suess.  
  • Friday, Jan 2: Inspired by The Salmon of Knowledge

Special guests

African and Caribbean Folk Tales with Kesha Christie Saturday, Dec 20, (30-minute performances) at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m.  Be enchanted by the rich folk tales of African and the Caribbean with storyteller Kesha Christie, including the lively and timeless tales of Anansi.  Cost: Included with general admission. Registration is required - Register now.

Shadow Puppet Workshop with Little Chaos Co.  

Saturday, Dec 27, 2 to 3 p.m.  Discover the magic of storytelling through light and shadow in this puppet show and workshop presented by Little Chaos Co.

Be inspired by a performance of Moondance, the story of a young girl coping with loneliness, finding magic and going on an adventure that changes her perspective. Then, create your own magic with shadow puppets as Shadow Show puppeteers guide you through the playful and creative process of making shadows come alive.  Cost: Included with general admission. Registration is required - Register now.

  • PAMA will close early at 2 p.m. on Dec 24 (Christmas Eve) and Dec 31 (New Year’s Eve). 
  • PAMA will be closed on Dec 25 (Christmas Day), Dec 26 (Boxing Day), and Jan 1, 2026, (New Year’s Day).
